The North Bay AHEC is coordinated by Aliados Health, a regional association of 17 community health centers with sites in Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Solano, Contra Costa and Yolo counties.
Aliados Health resulted from the merger of two strong community health center consortia, each of which was founded to improve access to high-quality primary care for underserved and uninsured people in East and North Bay counties.
Aliados Health’s major focus is to strengthen the capacity of member health centers to act as a regional network of comprehensive primary care that provides access to consistently high-quality clinical care, effective care coordination and reduce health disparities.

The North Bay AHEC partners with community health centers, academic institutions and community organizations to:
· Coordinate the AHEC Scholars program including recruiting students in health care professions and providing ongoing guidance & mentorship to students enrolled in the program.
· Support Community Health Worker (CHW) training programs, supervisor peer groups and CHW convenings.
· Collaborate with HealthForce Partners to develop a localized healthcare sector strategy to align workforce and career pathways with community and employer needs.
